Ballarat & District Gem and Lapidary Club Gem Show Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st April, 2013 (Creswick Mills)
The popular annual Gem Show returns to Creswick Woollen Mills for it’s third year. Did you know that apart from its rich gold history, Creswick is famous for its Topaz? Visit Creswick in April and enjoy a weekend of fossicking adventure at the Ballarat and District Gem and Lapidary Club’s annual Gem Show. The Gem Show attracts visitors and collectors from all over Victoria and is held every year at Creswick Woollen Mills. Perfect for all gem lovers, weekend fossickers and anyone who loves shiny bling, the Gem Show will feature demonstrations of Faceting, Silver Smithing and Bone Carving

Looking for a school holiday activity with a difference? These gentle animals communicate by humming and love chasing each other up and down the paddock. They are very inquisitive and enjoy being petted and fed. Feeding times are at 11am and 2pm on the viewing deck.

The Rookeepers are interactive wildlife demonstrators who work towards conserving animal populations and the environments they are found in. A mobile zoo that present an informative show combining laughter, excitement and education with some of Australia’s scariest and cutest wildlife.

Peter is a self-taught, traditional artist who likes the realistic style of painting and drawing. He has become well known for his portrayal of the Clydesdale and other “heavy horses”, and dogs. His painting style brings his subjects to life, but is not a slave to fine detail.

Come see the fantastic display and learn the tricks of the trade from Lesley.

Looking for a school holiday activity with a difference? Why not bring them to Creswick Woollen Mills to our Alpaca family – Tumi, Diego, Theodore, Javier and the mischievous Kuzco? These gentle and gregarious animals communicate by humming and love chasing each other up and down the paddock. They are very inquisitive and enjoy being petted and fed. Feeding times are at 11am and 2pm on the viewing deck. Entry is free and parking plentiful and with Alpaca feeding times scheduled twice a day there is just no reason to Miss the Mill this school holidays!
