Spend the day with Creswick
The Creswick Woollen Mills are located in the town of Creswick, about an hour and a half outside of Melbourne, and 20 minutes from Ballarat. Come and spend the day with us and see what we have to offer!
When you arrive at the Mill, your first stop should be to experience the award-winning interactive exhibition ‘A Very Fine Yarn’. This exhibit will take you through the history of the Mill, and teach you about the journey of our natural fibres – from the source, through the manufacturing process and onto the shop floor. Self-guided tours are available all day, or for an extra $5pp a guide can accompany you on the tour. The tour costs $15 (includes up to three children for free). The fee is redeemable on purchases over $50 for individuals, or $40 for groups or seniors.
After the tour, enjoy a cup of coffee or a freshly baked treat from our rage of locally produced cakes and slices. For those who want something more substantial, The Mill Café has a hearty menu that changes seasonally, and champions local produce.
A trip to the Mill wouldn’t be complete without meeting our animals! Get up close and personal with the alpacas, sheep and goats. You will even get the opportunity to feed and pat them, too!
Once you’ve been on the tour, had a coffee and met the animals, it’s time to shop. In store we have a range of the blankets we cut and finish in the Mill, Australian made quilts and pillows, plus a range of clothing and accessories that are the perfect souvenir to remember your day at Creswick Woollen Mills.
You can also take advantage of our in-store styling services – book in a 90-minute personal styling session, host a fundraising event or attend a parade or workshop. Be sure to check our events calendar regularly to be in the know about our exclusive in store events.
